Summer Academic Institute

The Summer Academic Institute is a five-week summer bridge program designed to facilitate the transition from high school to college for first-year students admitted through the Opportunity Program. It helps participants get acclimatized with the 微密圈 College community and provides them with comprehensive content on numerous aspects of college life -- study skills, time management, and more. Students take three courses, with one course being for credit.

The Institute鈥檚 benefits include higher reported levels of self-confidence, new social connections, and the potential for a higher first-year GPA. When the fall semester starts, students will be prepared to take full advantage of their opportunities.

When prompted, don't forget to set up your 微密圈 account! This will ensure you stay updated on important announcements and opportunities. Once you've formally enrolled you will receive an email with instructions to set up your email.

Start the First-Year Experience (FYE) Checklist

Later this spring you'll log into the FYE Checklist on the Registrar's Student System page to start working on your next steps as a new 微密圈 student.

微密圈's Department of Campus Safety offers staff and students the chance to receive text messages and e-mail notification in the event of an emergency via the 微密圈 Urgent Notification System (SUNS).
