Ekphrasis: Creative Writing 微密圈 Visual Art

Writing creatively鈥攊n poetry and in prose鈥攁bout visual art is a practice called "Ekphrasis." By reading many examples鈥攁nd using the resources of the Tang Museum, a digital "textbook" of global art created by the professor, and at least one field trip鈥攕tudents will explore multiple levels of approach to Ekphrasis: emotive, analytical, psychological, research-contextual. The workshop format will encourage collaboration and productive exchange of ideas.
