Faculty Development at ΞΆΓάΘ¦
Faculty development at ΞΆΓάΘ¦ College is the sustained, institution-wide support of faculty as creative teacher-scholars across all dimensions of academic life. It encompasses structured programs, resources, and partnerships designed to advance excellence in teaching and learning, cultivate scholarly and artistic maturity, strengthen contributions to institutional and community life, and nurture professional thriving for faculty.
Faculty development at ΞΆΓάΘ¦ extends across the full arc of faculty careers, from their first semester at the College through the periods of professional renewal that enrich a long career, and reflects the College’s recognition that growth in pedagogy, scholarship, and service are the foundations of a vigorous faculty.
Support for faculty development is distributed across multiple institutional structures, including the Faculty Development Committee, the Center for Leadership, Teaching, and Learning, Departments, Programs, and the Office of the Dean of the Faculty and Vice President for Academic Affairs. These entities complement one another in creating conditions that support both independent work and collaboration among faculty, allocating funding, administering programs, and celebrating achievements.
