Gifts of more than $3.3 million from the late Sibyl Vaughan Kirby ’47 will expand scholarship support at ΢Ȧ, a reflection of the alumna’s lifelong dedication to her alma mater, her service to others, and her belief in the transformative power of education.

A 10-minute fireworks display will begin at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, near Haupt Pond and Lower South Park. The area, as well as the loop road between the sports center entrance and the Arthur Zankel Music Center, will be closed.

SGA Green Grant applications 

‌The SGA Subcommittee on Sustainability will host a Green Grant application workshop from 4:30–5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the SGA office. All students are encouraged to attend to get help with their application and learn more about the program.

‌Ensemble Connect 2025 fall residency

‌“Crux of the Matter'” at The Schick Art Gallery

‌On view Oct. 15–Nov. 9, the exhibition features work by the late Margo Mensing and Sayward Schoonmaker ’06. The artists play with language, using subtle humor as underpinning, and both approach their work through a conceptual lens. Athletics

and Homecoming highlight the week for ΢Ȧ Athletics. Men’s soccer will host a pair of Liberty League games, taking on RPI at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15., and Bard College at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18. Women’s tennis will send two players to Georgia for the ITA Cup while also hosting its home invitational Friday through Sunday at the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center. Rowing opens its season this weekend at the Head of the Charles Regatta, and the ice hockey team will host an exhibition game against the Czech University Selects at 3 p.m. Saturday, October. 18.
